Mission Statement

The 'Tender Loving Care' Complex, Inc. dba The TLC Christian Children's Home is a 501(c)3 not-for-profit founded to allow children of families with large sibling groups; to remain TOGETHER when the unfortunate situation arises that causes the children to be separated from their parents. We will house children, birth to maturity from across the nation caught in situations of neglect, hard times, and abandonment by one or both of their parents, offering them the opportunity to come to us for the love and nurturing they so greatly need and deserve.

Our goal is to reunite them with their families, find a loving, caring, permanent TLC Foster Care Home (for any child with us over 3 months) or provide a temporary loving environment at the TLC Christian Children's Home in Cape Coral, Florida. Our ultimate goal is to improve the quality of their lives to enable them to be successful adults by showing them a better way of life. Included in our program are classes to teach their parents how to cope with their situations and show them how to love their families as a whole through our God.

Because we strive to raise the TLC Complex to a height which will allow it to become self-supporting with community funding, the TLC Thrift Shop and independent fundraisers, TLC will become best practice in alternative housing for children; building ways for our children's home to be a 'teaching center', as well as a secure, fun place to live during their time of need; making them want to be a part of the TLC family and enlarge the chain of love with every child.
